Phase of Life Concerns
Phase of Life Concerns

Major life changes can come in a variety of forms, such as illness, divorce or marriage, starting a new career or losing a job, having a baby or children moving out, or retirement. When  life changes come, individuals can react in many ways, such as feelings of being overwhelmed, loss, or hopelessness. When untreated, these feelings can negatively influence a person's ability to cope in an adaptive manner, leading to difficulties in relationships with friends and family, struggles with work and school, or lead to development of other mental health issues. Clinicians at Elevate Wellness take focus on client's ability to increase insight and coping abilities to current stressors in life, specifically around thoughts and feelings around their struggles. Posture is shifted away from self-judgement and towards a stance of curiosity, leading clients to find acceptance around changes in their lives.
